Disease-Specific Topics
We offer several classes that are disease specific. These classes will provide:
- Treatment options.
- Additional condition-specific details.
- Ways to live with the condition and additional local resources to get even more information, plus support groups.

- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (or COPD).

Staying healthy is important at any stage of life. The classes focus on different areas of becoming and staying healthy. The topics include:

So, we have created a series of education classes focused on identifying and helping families address issues. The topics include:

- How to be a parent for the second time.
- How to obtain low-cost legal resources.
- How to care for a child with ADD or ADHD.
- What is HIPAA and how does it relate to information being shared within a family?

'Ohana knows that having the right information is important when making decisions. We also know that sometimes it is not easy to make the best decisions (especially about your health care) without the right information. So, we have put together a “how to” series so that you can get information across several topics. This will help you make good health care and life decisions. The topics include:
- How to navigate an HMO.
- How to choose or change to self direction.
- How to prepare for an emergency.
- How to access community resources (also known as Navigator).
- How to define and prepare advance directives.
