Individuals covered under Quest Expanded Access can enroll in ‘Ohana Health Plan. QExA provides acute, behavioral health and long-term care services. These services are provided to persons who are aged, blind or disabled (ABD) At ‘Ohana, we believe in placing the person before the disability. Therefore, we refer to these members as Seniors and Persons with Disabilities (SPD). Covered are:

• SPD individuals living in the community
• SPD individuals residing in long-term care institutions
• SPD individuals enrolled in an existing Home and Community Based Services program
• Other relatively small, specialized SPD populations

There are certain requirements that you have to meet to be covered under QExA. The Med-Quest Division (MQD) will determine eligibility status.

Once you become eligible for QExA, the following will occur:

• You will be notified and provided information on the process for selecting a health plan
• You will receive information that will address the basics of managed care
• You will be provided information about the health plans available to provide care
