What are my Medicare options?
You can choose Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan.
- Part A—Help with hospital costs
- Part B—Help with doctor and outpatient costs
- Optional add-ons
Part D (Optional)—Help with prescription drug costs
Medicare Supplement (Optional)—Covers gaps in coverage, also called “Medigap.”
Medicare Advantage Plans
- Part C—Includes Parts A and B.
- Many plans include Part D drug coverage.
- Some offer additional benefits like dental, hearing and vision coverage.
Special Needs Plans (SNPs)
SNPs serve people who need specialized care. Those who qualify for SNPs may live in an institution, may need nursing care at home, may have a specific chronic condition such as diabetes or congestive heart failure, or may qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.
